A stronger and "better" community. That's what we have helped to build during the last two months, with overwhelming campus support for this year's UB SEFA/United Way campaign.
With some area campaigns yet to be finished, we have already surpassed our goal. To date, over 3,100 members of our campus community have donated or pledged over $650,000!
A successful campaign can be an enormous task and this year's task was successful because it was properly motivated; not by being focused on progress towards a financial goal, but by a true desire to help those in need in our community. The UB Community is indeed a caring community and again we have done what we can for others. We have made a difference.
So, "thank you," UB community, for caring and "thank you," as well, to the UB SEFA/United Way Administrative Team and all the campus liaisons. You did the work!
We have done our part in "Building Stronger Communities" and we will all be better for this.
